Neutron Monitor Cosmic Ray Intensity (Hourly)
Credit: NASA
Part of a dataset collection on Hugging Face.
Dataset description
Hourly cosmic ray intensity measurements from the Neutron Monitor Database (NMDB) -- the worldwide network of ground-based cosmic ray detectors. Neutron monitors detect secondary neutrons produced when galactic cosmic rays interact with Earth's atmosphere.
The count rate is a proxy for cosmic ray intensity at Earth and is modulated… See the full description on the dataset page: https://huggingface.co/datasets/juliensimon/neutron-monitor-cosmic-rays.crdb-cosmic-ray-spectra
Cosmic Ray Database (CRDB)
Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/STScI/CXC/SAO
Part of a dataset collection on Hugging Face.
Dataset description
Complete cosmic ray spectral database from CRDB (Cosmic Ray DataBase) -- the reference database for cosmic ray physics, maintained by D. Maurin et al. at LPSC Grenoble.
Cosmic rays are high-energy charged particles -- mostly protons and atomic nuclei, but also electrons and positrons -- that bombard the Earth from all… See the full description on the dataset page: https://huggingface.co/datasets/juliensimon/crdb-cosmic-ray-spectra.auger-cosmic-rays
Pierre Auger Observatory Cosmic Rays
Part of the Physics Datasets collection on Hugging Face.
Summary data from the Pierre Auger Observatory,
the world's largest detector of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays. Currently
24,319 records.
Dataset description
The Pierre Auger Observatory in Mendoza, Argentina, uses 1,660 water-Cherenkov
surface detectors spread over 3,000 km^2, plus fluorescence telescopes, to detect
cosmic rays with energies above 10^18 eV. These are the most… See the full description on the dataset page: https://huggingface.co/datasets/juliensimon/auger-cosmic-rays.
