MIKANIllustriousHybridBWv3.7 is an SDXL Illustrious-based model focused on oriental features and versatility. It uses Block Weight merging to address the "concept convergence" and "outfit prompt rigidity" found in previous versions.

2. Development Concept: "Identity and Freedom"

Previous versions (up to v2.2) prioritized specific facial features, which sometimes limited outfit and pose flexibility. In v3.7, I adjusted the focus to improve the model's overall usability:

  • —Resetting Convergence: Improved response to outfit customization.
  • —Illustrious Base: Updated using the Illustrious-based architecture.
  • —Oriental Nuance: Adjusted merge ratios to maintain a soft, East Asian aesthetic.

3. Technical Specifications

This model uses a Block Weight Merge to transplant facial layouts from the donor model while keeping the base model's textures and lighting. This method aims to change the face without degrading the image quality.

4. Sister Models: SAKURA and MIKAN

  • —SAKURA: Focuses on color and physical presence (Pony-based).
  • —MIKAN: Focuses on rendering and prompt following (Illustrious-based).

While v3.7 looks similar to SAKURA, it is designed to be a more flexible and easy-to-use model.
