The framework factors precipitation volume over a space–time domain as

$$V = \Delta t\,T\, fw\, Iw\, Aw\, Kw$$

— domain wet-frame occurrence, wet-frame mean intensity, wet-frame mean raining area, and within-wet intensity–area coupling — yielding an exactly additive log-ratio budget $DV = Df + D{Iw} + D{Aw} + D{Kw}$ for product–reference differences.

Demonstrated on two years of half-hourly IMERG V07 (IR, uncalibrated, gauge-calibrated) against GV-MRMS over a 5°×5° southeastern U.S. domain.
