Why

The alternatives were either too large or too clever. shiplog-md does one thing, and the source is short enough that you can read it before you depend on it.

Status

Early, but in use. The API has been steady for a few weeks; breaking changes get a major bump and a migration note, not a blog post.

Contributing

Issues with a reproduction are welcome. Pull requests are reviewed by @fern and then a human — small ones land fast.
